| What is an IDA? |
| |
| An Individual Development Account (IDA) is a special
matched savings account used to save money for a specific
asset purchase. IDAs are similar to Individual Retirement
Accounts and 401K plans; however, they are not pension plans.
IDAs may be used to save toward: |
| |
1) First-time Home Ownership
2) Post-Secondary Education
3) Child's Post-Secondary Education
4) Micro Enterprise (Small Business) Start-Up or
Expansion |
|
| |
| IDA participants attend personal financial management
classes, establish a savings account at a local bank and make
monthly deposits based on a savings plan. Money saved is
matched by public or private funds at rates of 1:1 up to
$1,000 maximum. |
| |
| Why Join? |
| |
| IDAs are risk-free investments. Savers cannot lose money.
At the same time, IDA's offer several benefits: |
| |
| Double your savings in 1-2 years!
Turn $1,000 into $2,000 or more. Traditional investments
earn between 6% and 10% annually, but IDAs yield a 100%
guaranteed return. That means $1,000 invested in the
stock market might earn $100 in a year. By comparison
$1,000 in an IDA would grow to $2,000 within 1 year. ...continued |

III Cord Foundation supports organizations that address
human, spiritual and educational needs in disadvantaged
communities, with strong emphasis on organizations that
include self sufficiency, economic development, capacity
development, empowerment in their approach.
We are looking to assist agencies that remedy specific
problems; service models that address those problems in a
systemic way, through changes in public policy; strategies to
empower people to play leading roles in achieving these policy changes.
We also look for initiatives that link the faith community,
non-profit agencies, private and public sectors together to
effect wide social impact and change. Special consideration is
given applications from faith-based organizations.

COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM |
|
| |
| Building a Partnership of Faith to Serve our Community |
| |
The purpose of the Community Empowerment Program is to
encourage and promote growth in non-profit, business, and
faith-based agencies by utilizing their unique, God-given
gifts and abilities to assist those in need within the Phoenix
metropolitan area.
III Cord Foundation works with program partners to build their
capacity to better serve high-risk groups. The focuses of
services are in the areas of community empowerment, social
awareness, and social transformation based upon a
Biblically-centered
theology.
Enrolled organizations live in covenant together to provide a
positive social environment in which each person has access to
God-centered spiritual relationships, hope, safety, justice,
support, love, decent and safe housing, adequate health care,

Charitable giving can be one
of the most rewarding things you do in life. For many
successful people, a private endowment forms the basis of
their charitable strategy, providing control and direction for
giving. With a private endowment, you can:
|
| |
|
Create focus,
structure and continuity for a well thought-out charitable
plan.
Create a unique
and permanent legacy because an effective endowment not only
bears your name, it carries your vision and ideas far into the
future.
Teach your
values and share your vision for a better world with your
children or grandchildren, by involving them in your
charitable activity.
Receive a tax
break today and donate money to your favorite charities later.
Maintain full
control over the money in your endowment. You can invest it
and let it grow, free of income tax, then give it to charity
over the course of many years.
Achieve
additional tax savings each year and avoid gift and estate
taxes altogether.

III Cord
Foundation actively works with
the homeless and has church, clinic, school, economic and
building projects around the world. Over the years, our
organization has supported a range of mission and human
service agencies both domestically and in Africa. Along the
way, we have acquired a great deal of experience in helping
successful people like you maximize the effectiveness of their
charitable efforts.
Our goal is to make the world
a better place through participator and cooperative ministry
and mission. Our purpose is to help busy executives,
entrepreneurs, professionals and philanthropists like you to
understand and to take full advantage of the benefits offered
by a private endowment without having to spend tens of
thousands of dollars in set-up or administrative costs.
If you have any questions, or if you
just want to discuss your current giving, please feel free to
call us at any time. We look forward to hearing from you.
Serving God and Humanity,

| Dear Friends of Congo Initiative: |
| |
It’s an exciting time to make a difference!
As the Democratic Republic of Congo awaits the results of the
recent historic presidential election, David Kasali is hard at
work in Beni, DR Congo mobilizing the construction of Congo
Initiative’s Université Chrétienne Bilingue du Congo
(Christian Bilingual University of Congo - UCBC).
We have just received a request from David Kasali who is not
only working construction duty, he is also working with
government officials to ensure the school is approved as an
official Congolese University! Because the English Program is
the first to be reviewed, we have been asked to provide
several key resources. The timing couldn’t be better! In the
upcoming weeks, Dick and Eileen Steldt (our architect team), and
Janyne Peek (a CI Board member) will be traveling to Beni and
can place these resources directly in the hands of Congolese
students -- just-in-time!

was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came
to visit me." Matthew 25:35
