| Dear Friends of Congo Initiative: |
| |
It’s an exciting time to make a difference!
As the Democratic Republic of Congo awaits the results of the
recent historic presidential election, David Kasali is hard at
work in Beni, DR Congo, mobilizing the construction of Congo
Initiative’s Université Chrétienne Bilingue du Congo
(Christian Bilingual University of Congo - UCBC).
We have just received a request from David Kasali who is not
only working construction duty, he is also working with
government officials to ensure the school is approved as an
official Congolese University! Because the English Program is
the first to be reviewed, we have been asked to provide
several key resources. The timing couldn’t be better! In just
4 weeks, Dick and Eileen Steldt (our architect team), and
Janyne Peek (a CI Board member) will be traveling to Beni and
can place these resources directly in the hands of Congolese
students -- just-in-time! |

David Kasali meets an English professor at the Seventh Day
